  • Unauthorised publishers of personal data of owners of cars decorated with Soviet or Russian symbols might escape the punishment

Chas reports that persons who published on the Internet personal data of owners of cars decorated with Soviet or Russian symbols might escape punishment if they are not Latvian or EU citizens. According to a representative of the State Data Inspection, the personal data was published on the internet site hosted in the U.S.A. and the persons might escape liability if they are American citizens or citizens of any other country which has electronic communication legislation different from that of the EU.
