  • Car decorated with Russian flag burned in Riga
  • President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers received first official invitation to visit Moscow

Newspapers report about a car burned in Riga last week. The owner believes that his car was burned because it was decorated with Russian flag and symbols and when he saw his car burning he also noticed a graffiti written on his car in Latvian “Do not love Russia!” However the fire destroyed the car completely so it is impossible to prove if ethnic hatred was indeed a motive behind this act of vandalism. Chas, Vesti Segodnya

The Head of the Russia’s President’s Administration Sergey Narishkin presented the President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers official invitation to visit Moscow. Mr. Zatlers is the first Latvian President who might come to Russia with official visit. Chas, Telegraf
